Wedding Wardrobe

Welcome to the Wedding Wardrobe - your unofficial guide to what to wear and how to survive Indian weather while still looking fabulous!

We've put together some colours, themes, and outfit ideas for each event - not because we're the fashion police (we swear we're chill), but because we know that "what on earth do I wear?" spiral all too well.

There are no strict rules here - just some friendly inspiration to help you find your vibe. The only real request? Please wear yellow for the Haldi - so we can all look like a field of marigolds in the photos (kidding... kind of. We're just going for full "It was all yellow" energy).

A quick weather check: Kolkata will be hot and humid (around 33–35°C) - think light, breathable, and sweat-proof. Bangalore, on the other hand, will be much cooler (around 22–24°C) - perfect for richer fabrics.

So come dressed as your most stylish, comfortable self - ready to dance, laugh, and celebrate. Because the only real dress code that matters? Fun. Lots of it!

The vibe for this event is full Bollywood drama, high energy, and unapologetically extra. Think festive Indian wear/Indo-western in blues and golds (or go Western if that's more your style). Girls, bring those backup shoes - your feet will thank you later.

Our Haldi is all about sunshine, laughter, and a generous splash of turmeric. Yellow is mandatory - from mellow honey to bold sunshine, pick any shade that screams "happy." Go for comfy Indian wear in light fabrics.

This will be our small (but delightfully dramatic) Bengali wedding - so bring out the gold accents and deep festive tones in your Indian or Indo-western best. Just one small request - please skip the red, that's the bride's colour, and she's claimed it with full authority.

This is where we take a breather and embrace the calm, timeless charm of a classic South Indian celebration. Think graceful Indian or South Indian wear in soft pastels and creamy tones - simple, elegant, and effortlessly beautiful.

Reception

This is the grand finale! The vibe's elegant, a little glam, and totally photo-ready (because there will be many, many pictures). Go for formal Indian or Western attire - a gown, a dress, a saree, a sharp suit, a bandhgala, anything in dark and rich tones.
