Our Story

Hi, it’s us-Sahana & Amogh.
Now that you’ve probably scrolled through the website (or maybe just landed here out of curiosity), we thought we’d tell you a little bit about us-without boring you too much.

We first crossed paths in London back in October 2017, thanks to Sahana’s flatmate Kevin, who thought “Well, you’re both Indian, you should get along.”
(Spoiler: he wasn’t entirely wrong.)

Except, we soon discovered we were from very different parts of India, with different languages and cultures, and not a whole lot in common besides our passports. Destiny, however, had other plans-because when we were introduced, Sahana happened to be on a phone call gently dissuading an overly eager admirer who was convinced he was in love with her. Let’s just say the timing was… interesting.

From then on, we kept bumping into each other at Thanksgiving dinners, hotpot nights, and eventually… a night of drinks where Sahana overshared her entire life story, and then-just to seal the first impression-threw up all over Amogh. (Romantic, we know.) She woke up mortified, apologised, and still couldn’t stop thinking about him. A few weeks later, she messaged him, he suggested drinks at the nearest Wetherspoons, and that’s where the sparks flew.

But of course, life decided to get creative with its plot twists. Amogh packed his bags for Barcelona to pursue his first love (BMAT—if you know, you know), while Sahana flew back to India to prepare for her MBA (yes, nerd alert). So began the long-distance chapter. Sahana’s MBA ended up being mostly in India, the pandemic came crashing in, and Amogh decided to hit pause. Breakup. Cue nine painfully long months apart… until one fine day, Amogh texted her.
(Classic comeback move. He couldn’t resist.)

Round two of long-distance kicked off. This time, Sahana moved to Milan for her studies, Amogh moved in with her, and they finally got a taste of living together. It was bliss—until she had to pack up again and move back to India for her job.

Eventually, enough was enough. Tired of airports, visas, and time zones, Sahana ditched the job, packed her bags, and finally made Barcelona home. Through it all, Sahana remained the hopeless romantic and Amogh the reluctant pragmatist, until, well… he gave in.
(He’ll say he didn’t have much of a choice-Sahana isn’t easy to get rid of.)

We got our civil partnership registered in Barcelona, and then got engaged with our families in Bangalore on July 7, 2025. Our story hasn’t been easy, but it’s been ours - messy, funny, stubborn, and full of love. And now, we’re finally here!

Here are some photos of us through the years-travelling, stumbling, laughing, and somehow winning at life together.
